Jin Jun Mei Wuyi black tea is one of the most labor intensive and demanding teas to produce. Fine Jin Jun Mei is made exclusively from tiny spring buds, and requires thousands and thousands of hand-picked golden buds to make a single pound of finished tea. The result is a downy tea with a thick full texture, and a beautiful elegance. Li Xiangxi's spring-fed tea grows out of rocky, sandy soil, yielding a rich mineral flavor true to Wuyishan's unique terroir. This year's harvets is especially unique in its lingering cooling sensation and forest undertones.

Jin Jun Mei is one of the most beautiful teas in Wuyishan. These spectacular golden buds are harvested by the Li family on their mountain spring-fed plot within the Wuyishan Ecological Preserve. Jin Jun Mei requires more hand-picked buds to make a kilo of finished tea than any other variety out there. The Li Family works together to pick these tiny buds within their short one day picking window while they are still extremely young, tender and downy. The result is a black tea full of intense sweetness, lingering aftertaste and a thick texture. Much lighter than other black teas, Jin Jun Mei is a truly special experience.
